Location(s): West @ Mumbai; South @ Chennai or Bangalore; North @ Delhi

Academic Qualification(s):

  1. MBA essential; BE+MBA will be an bonus for the candidate.
  1. min 5-6 yrs of work experience in IT/FMCG/OA businesses.
  1. should have been in sales for atleast 2 years and atleast 2 yrs in Channel/Distribution Sales setups.

Any other Special Skills required:

  1. Channel Management Skills are mandatory.
  1. Marketing skills essential - run local/regional marketing programs / campaigns for the channel partners.
  1. Sound on Financial management and fundamentals of costing, pricing, P & L; should be able to understand channel's finances.

Job Role:

  1. Reporting to the Country Consumer Business Manager.
  1. Tracking Inventory, Sell thru, ordering with distis.
  1. planning & implementing local / regional programs
  1. Channel - recruitement, expansion, retention, managing conflicts, helping them to grow their business profitably and thus increasing IBM's share of business in their total business revenues, month-after-month
  1. Owning the consumers, channel partners and the business in their respective regions.
  1. constant, consistent & accurate sales forecasts for the regions, month after month.
  1. countering competition in the regions.

Key Result Areas:

  1. Consumer satisfaction in the regions.
  1. Sell thru revenue. channel partner satisfaction survey
  1. regional mktg funds utilization - Impact/Rs.
  1. accurate forecasts on sales in the regions
  1. regular reporting & effective countering of competitive activity in the regions.
